Trees Preservation

Certain amount of trees need to be felled or transplanted which are inevitable due to limited space available for road widening and erecting roadside noise barriers or noise semi-enclosures. The study will aim to explore any possibility to minimize the number of tree affected.

Three old and valuable trees (OVTs) near Sha Tin Rural Committee Road, namely LCSD ST-5, LCSD ST-6 and LCSD ST-17 fall into the Project boundary. These three OVTs will be preserved and protective measures will be provided during construction.

LCSD ST-5
Bischofia Polycarpa

LCSD ST-6
Bischofia Polycarpa

LCSD ST-17
Ficus Annulata
